Slow Cooker Beer and Mustard Kielbasa

This beer-infused take on the Polish cuisine is sure to be popular. This kielbasa recipe is made with pork sausage, beer, onion and mustard, it's rich in flavor and absolutely delicious.

  • 2 lbs Polish sausage
  • 1 large white onion cut into ½-inch slices
  • cup beer
  • cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water


  • Slice sausage into 1-inch rounds. Place in slow cooker along with the onion.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over sausage and onions. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and water to create a paste. Add to slow cooker minutes before serving to thicken kielbasa.
  • Serve with potato salad, potatoes, or rice, as an appetizer.
