Slow Cooker Beer and Mustard Kielbasa

This beer-infused take on the Polish cuisine is sure to be popular. This kielbasa recipe is made with turkey sausage, beer, onion and mustard, it's rich in flavor and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Polish turkey sausage
  • 1 large white onion cut into ½-inch slices
  • cup beer pilsner or lager
  • cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water

Instructions

  • Slice sausage into 1-inch rounds. Place in slow cooker along with the onion.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over sausage and onions. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and water to create a paste. Add to slow cooker minutes before serving to thicken kielbasa.
  • Serve with potato salad, potatoes, or rice, as an appetizer.
